Panglao Island is a tiny island attached to the south-west tip of the main island of Bohol in the Philippines. It is very close to Cebu island as well. Why is worth visiting this island?

1.1. AFFORDABLE ROOMS, TRANSPORT AND FOOD

Costs of travel are important to everybody, especially for budget travelers.  Comparing with other islands in the Philippines, Panglao is very cheap. Moreover, It’s easier to eat in places where usually only  locals visit. The best way to travel on the island is scooter – it’s cheap and it makes You more independent.

1.2. NOT CROWDED

There are not many tourists on the island. Only crowded place on the Island is Alona beach, but when We say crowded We do not mean the level of congestion of el Nido beach.

1.3. AMAZING BEACHES

Beaches of Panglao are really amazing. They are exactly like on postcards. They have white sand, blue water and are fringed with trees.

1.4. MANY PLACES TO EXPLORE

Few minutes from Alona Beach by boat, there is excellent diving spot with a wealth of small fish, nudibranchs and anemone. The place which is also worth to see is Balicasag marine sanctuary, where You can see an amazing variety of sea life all year around. After seeing this place, You can visit also Doljo Beach which offers You seeing huge gorgonians and sponges.
